Princess Laurentien to open European School The Hague's Secondary school building

Mr Arjan Kastelein, Chairman Executive Board of Stichting Het Rijnlands Lyceum, along with Mr Frans van de Kerkhof, Director of the European School The Hague and Mrs Michaela Jung, Deputy Director of the European School The Hague are delighted to inform the community that Her Royal Highness, Princess Laurentien der Nederlanden, will visit ESH Secondary to officially open our new school building on Friday 1 October.

Princess Laurentien’s visit will include a tour of the school, meetings with students, and an official ceremony in which she will hand the keys to the building over to our student representatives and school management. The official ceremony will also be attended by the Deputy Mayor of The Hague, the Provincial Governor, representatives from the European Union institutions, and parent, staff and student representatives from the ESH community.

The community celebration of this milestone event will continue throughout the day with students providing tours and a reception for neighbours and parents in the afternoon, followed by a party for students in the evening.
