The ESHapp is now live, and ready to be downloaded!
The app is designed to provide everyone in the Secondary school community with news, events and resources, all in one place, and easily accessible on mobile devices. The ESHapp includes all news and announcements from ESH Secondary, up-to-date calendars of all Secondary events, daily canteen menu, access to important documents, photos, videos and more. The information presented in the ESHapp is drawn from the same source as the European School The Hague website. Privacy controls restrict sensitive information, so that it is only visible to authorised users.
The ESHapp is just one part of our long term commitment to improving internal and external communications. SMS was launched at the beginning of the school year, followed by the transition to Microsoft365, which allowed us to quickly deliver online learning during the school closure. Over the winter we worked on upgrading our website infrastructure, we recently launched a new Parent Portal with improved functionality, and are currently constructing a new Staff Portal. The launch of the ESHapp is another milestone on our path to achieving clear and effective communications for all stakeholders.

In order to access all features, you must log in. The content in the ESHapp is drawn from the same source as the Parent Portal, and therefore your login details will be the same on both platforms.
Log in to the app using the same credentials you use to access the Parent Portal on our website. Parents need to set their own password on the Parent Portal, before they can log in to the app.
Students and staff can log in using their school credentials, for example, student usernames are their student number, and staff usernames are the first half of their email address.
- Why are communications being moved to an app?
- Will I still receive a newsletter?
- Who is the ESHapp for?
- Will I still get emails from ESDH?
- Do I have to login every time I use the portal and app?
- Is the platform safe?
- I don’t want to download an app
- My child is leaving the school this year, do I have to download the app?
- Why aren’t you using the same app as ESH Primary?
- Is news available in other languages?
- I have an announcement to share! How can I get my news on the ESHapp?
We'd love to hear your feedback and ideas. If you have a question about the ESHapp, Parent Portal, website or school communications plan, feel free to get in touch.
