Careers Guidance
ESH has a Careers Guidance Team made up of a Careers Counsellor and 6 Careers Advisors for the most popular university destinations of our students. This includes 2 advisors each for The Netherlands and France, and one advisor each for Germany and the UK.
Students can contact our Careers Counsellor and our Careers Advisors for advice regarding their post-Baccalaureate study and career pathways. Students will also be guided in this process by their mentors.
The Careers Counsellor organises activities relating to Careers and future planning, including careers and university fairs and other career-related events. The Careers Advisors offer regional and language-specific support and advice about careers and university applications for the destinations they are assigned to. They also assist students and parents with university admission forms.
European Baccalaureate & Access to Higher Education
The European Baccalaureate is recognised in the Netherlands on par with the VWO diploma in Dutch schools. VWO is the highest level of Dutch secondary education in The Netherlands. With the EB diploma, students are eligible for application to Dutch universities.

In order to be accepted into a university course or field of study, it is usually a requirement that students have taken certain subjects at a certain level. Secondary students must therefore carefully consider their subject choices in the Pre-Orientation and Orientation cycles.
