Pupil Support

Gifted & Talented

At ESH Primary, we are committed to providing high-quality education tailored to the needs of all our pupils. Here, we outline the measures our school takes to identify and support pupils with characteristics of giftedness, helping them reach their full potential.

Two ESH Primary Gifted and Talented programmes adopt an inclusive approach, offering enriching and challenging opportunities for all learners. We aim to establish a strong learning dialogue between teachers, pupils, and parents. This holistic approach encourages creative, higher-order thinking skills, essential for becoming productive citizens in our European society.

What does Gifted and Talented mean at ESH primary?

Being identified as Gifted and Talented at ESH Primary means that a pupil demonstrates outstanding academic abilities, talents, and/or the potential for exceptional skills that are developmentally advanced and require enhanced provisions to meet their educational needs. These pupils may excel in areas such as intellectual, academic, creative, artistic, or leadership capacities.

At ESH Primary, we strive to create an environment where identification as Gifted and Talented is the starting point for nurturing potential and developing talents. It is essential to ensure that this process is carried forward into (ESH) Secondary school, where it is further supported with professional rigor to foster a harmonious and continuous learning pathway.
