Job description
At the European School The Hague we are looking to expand our communications team.
As a communications officer you are responsible for:
- Working closely with the PR, Events & Communications Officer to ensure alignment between internal and external messaging
- Uploading and formatting posts on the various communications platforms
- Providing communication support for school-wide projects or strategic initiatives
- Acting as a point of contact for staff with questions about internal communication or website use
- Ensuring consistency in visual identity and messaging across internal platforms
- Coordinating the collection of written and visual content from staff and students for use in newsletters, reports, and other school communications in collaboration with the PR, Events & Communications Officer
Key Requirements
- You have affinity with the education sector
- You have knowledge of Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and experience with working and managing in Microsoft SharePoint and Teams is a plus
- You are flexible and proactive
- You are detail oriented
- You are good in planning and organising without losing sight of priorities
- You have the ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks during peak periods (e.g., start of terms), while still being a team player
- Your English is fluent; knowledge of other European languages is a plus.

- The salary is a minimum €2889 and a maximum of €4254 for a full-time contract on scale 8. The salary scale and the step offered will depend on your level of experience.
- 8% holiday allowance (May)
- 8.33% year-end bonus (December)
- October allowance €1640 for a full-time position
- Monthly contribution towards travel expenses (if applicable)
