What is an alumni and why join one?

An alumni is an association for people who went to the same school or university. Alumni groups provide a fun way for graduates to relive their school days, but they also offer much more than that.

Advice and career development

The ESH Alumni provides you with access to online resources, careers events, networking, mentoring, graduate articles, alumni experiences and advice. Articles are published on the alumni webpage, and as a member, you will also receive access to useful workshops, webinars, advice and opportunities in the alumni newsletter.

Events and networking

Reunion events are a fun way to catch up with your old classmates and reminisce about school, but attending alumni events can have far greater benefits, such as expanding your professional network. Our newly renovated building will be used to host career and academic events, which alumni members will be invited to attend, host or even be a guest presenter. Such events will offer opportunities to meet and connect with other professionals. Alumni events are a great way to mingle and enjoy yourself, but they also offer the perfect opportunity to expand your professional connections and meet new people. All alumni members will receive invitations to these events.

Volunteer opportunities

As our alumni grows, we plan to develop a mentor programme, where our members will be invited to connect with our current students to provide guidance and advice. Connecting with someone who is following your course of study, or attending your dream university will provide you with the insight you need to prepare for tertiary education. Once you leave our school, your experiences also become valuable, and you will have the opportunity to become a mentor to our current students.

Pride

Graduating with a European Baccalaureate diploma is a big achievement, and one that you should be proud of! Supporting your school shows pride in your education. If you’re proud of what you achieved at ESH, then being an alumni member is essential to keep this pride alive!
